The North had the task of creating the gap through the Confederate's lines. The game started with 3 Confederate brigades deployed behind some fences, then the North had to draw a map with the deployment of their brigades with information on when will enter the table. Our initial plan (the Union) was to attack the flanks and then attack the middle, but we changed it to first attack the centre and then attack the flanks. In both cases, we assumed that we could break the defence on one of the Confederate flanks. After that Southerners were able to deploy the rest of their brigades.
Północ miała za zadanie wykonać wyrwę w konfederackiej linii obrony. Gra zaczęła się od 3 brygad Konfederatów rozstawionych za ogrodzeniami, wtedy Północ miała narysować mapę, na której zaznaczone miało być ich rozstawienie i informacja, kiedy miałyby wkroczyć na stół. Nasz początkowy plan (Unia) zakładał atak na flankach, a potem w środku, ale zmieniliśmy go na wpierw zaatakowaniu centrum a następnie na uderzeniu na flankach. W obu przypadkach zakładaliśmy, że uda nam się przełamać obronę na jednej z konfederackich flanek. Po tym Południowcy mogli rozstawić swoje pozostałe brygady.
Five of our seven brigades moved forward. Confederates tried to stop us with accurate artillery fire. They slowed us down but did not stop. Soon our reserves moved to fight too. We were ready to strike enemy flanks.
Pięć z naszych siedmiu brygad ruszyło do przodu. Konfederaci próbowali nas zatrzymać celnym ogniem artyleryjskim. Spowolnili nas, ale nie zatrzymali. Wkrótce do boju ruszyły też nasze rezerwy. Byliśmy gotowi by zaatakować wrogie flanki.
We struck simultaneously. Peter rejected the brigade led by Michael. I managed to destroy the brigade led by Mike. Gaps were created. Confederates were unable to prevent it, as the next troops were in big problem. The game was over with the victory for the Union.
Uderzyliśmy jednocześnie. Peter odrzucił brygadę dowodzoną przez Michaela. Mi udało się zniszczyć brygadę dowodzoną przez Mike'a. Obrona została przerwana. Konfederaci nie byli w stanie temu przeciwdziałać, ponieważ kolejne brygady zaczęły mieć poważne problemy. Gra zakończyła się zwycięstwem Unii.
