Another Claymore is behind us, marking my 15th anniversary. Once again, I had the privilege of chairing the judging panel, and I would like to thank the judges — Mark, Michael, and Tim — for their work. Together, we reached an agreement and selected the winners in two categories: the demonstration game and the participation game. The Derek Hodge Cup, awarded for only the second time in history, was the prize in the second category.

I didn't play any games this year, and my purchases were quite modest, too. For one thing, the exhibitors I was interested in didn't show up, or I simply didn't know what I wanted to buy. To be honest, I have so many projects in my "pile of shame" that buying new miniatures makes no sense at all—especially since I'm working on a project that no one else in the world has. On the other hand, I had a few very interesting conversations and met some new people, so for that reason alone, I consider this convention successful.
