The Guns of August game continued. We had this one about two weeks ago, but I waited with the AAR for maps from Michael. Unfortunately, he is too busy to do it now and later I will update the blog with them. After some successes and surprise actions by the Entente last game, the Central Powers tried to reclaim the initiative. Did they manage to do it?
Kolejna część naszej rozgrywki z zasadami Guns of August. Tą grę mieliśmy jakieś dwa tygodnie temu, ale czekałem aż Michael podeśle mi mapy, by opublikować AAR. Niestety, teraz jest na to zbyt zajęty i jak tylko mi je podeśle, na pewno zaktualizuję bloga. Po pewnych sukcesach i zaskakujących akcjach Ententy podczas ostatniej gry, państwa centralne postanowiły odzyskać inicjatywę. Czy im się udało?

August 1915. Sierpień 1915.
After British and French forces established their bridgeheads in Albania and Turkey, the Central Powers decided to cut them off from the supplies. Austro-Hungarian and Turkish navies chose to attack the British and Italian navies present in the region. We had two battles. The first one between the Turkish Navy and combined British and Italian navies on Egeian See, lost by Turks and the second on the Adriatic Sea between Austro-Hungarian and combine British and Italian navies, finished with the total annihilation of the Royal-Imperial Fleet. That complicated things a lot in that area. That wasn't over yet, as the land offensive of Austro-Hungarian forces in Albania failed. The only success the Central Powers gained that month was stopping the French offensive in Belgium. That cleared the situation on the Western Front for a long period. We had a stalemate there, nobody wanted to attack anyone...
Po tym jak siły brytyjskie i francuskie utworzyły przyczółki w Albanii i Turcji, państwa centralne postanowiły odciąć je od dostaw. Floty Austro-Węgier i Turcji zdecydowały się zaatakować siły marynarek wojennych Wielkiej Brytanii i Włoch w tym regionie. Stoczyliśmy dwie bitwy. Pierwsza pomiędzy Turkami i połączonymi flotami Wielkiej Brytanii i Włoch na Morzu Egejskim, przegrana przez Turków i drugą stoczoną na Adriatyku pomiędzy flotą Austro-Węgier i połączonymi flotami Wielkiej Brytanii i Włoch, zakończoną totalną anihilacją CK floty. To bardzo skomplikowało sytuację w tym regionie. To nie był jednak koniec, ponieważ austro-węgierska ofensywa w Albanii również zakończyła się porażką. Jedynym sukcesem osiągniętym w tym miesiącu przez państwa centralne było zatrzymanie francuskiej ofensywy w Belgii. To na jakiś czas wyjaśniło sytuację na froncie zachodnim. Mieliśmy tam sytuację patową, nikt nie chciał nikogo atakować...
September 1915. Wrzesień 1915.
Once again Austro-Hungarian forces attacked Entente forces in Albania and once again their attack failed. As the Italian and Western fronts got quiet, Central Powers decided to attack Russians on the Eastern front. Their offensive in Belarus and Galicia get some success and the Russians had to move back. During that month Konigsberg was retaken by the Germans.
Kolejna ofensywa austro-węgierska przeciwko siłom Ententy w Albanii zakończyła się klęską. Oba fronty włoski i zachodni ucichły, państwa centralne zadecydowały się uderzyć na wschodzie przeciw Rosji. Ich ofensywa w Białorusi i w Galicji odniosła pewne sukcesy i siły rosyjskie zostały zmuszone się wycofać. Podczas tego miesiąca Niemcy odzyskali Królewiec.
October 1915. Październik 1915.
German offensive in Belarus continued, forcing Russians to move back. At the same time, the Turks pushed back the British on the Turkish front.
Niemiecka ofensywa w Białorusi trwa, wciąż spychając siły Rosyjskie w głąb swojego terytorium. W tym samym czasie Turkom udało się odepchnąć Brytyjczyków na froncie tureckim.
November 1915. Listopad 1915.
Germans still pushing on Russians in Belarus. Now they have two conceptions of the targets: Minsk or Riga. They haven't decided yet, awaiting the outcome on the battlefield. British forces continue their push in Turkey, and the situation over there is very serious for Central Powers.
Niemcy wciąż nacierają w Białorusi. Wykrystalizowały się dwie koncepcje ataku, jedna na Mińsk a druga na Rygę. Na razie nie podjęto jeszcze decyzji, wszystko zależy od sytuacji na froncie. Brytyjskie siły nacierają w Turcji. Sytuacja staje się tam bardzo poważna dla państw centralnych.
December 1915. Grudzień 1915.
German offensive in Belarus had to stop, for regrouping. In Turkey, British forces started the siege of Constantinople!
Niemiecka ofensywa w Białorusi musiała się zatrzymać, by przegrupować siły. W Turcji, Brytyjczycy rozpoczęli oblężenie Kontantynopola!
January 1916. Styczeń 1916.
Stalemate on all fronts. Germans still regrouping in Belarus.
Pat na wszystkich frontach. Niemcy wciąż przegrupowują się na Białorusi.
February 1916. Luty 1916.
New German offensive in Belarus. Once again Russians suffer massive casualties. It could end up with increased social unrest and finally a revolution. Russia is very close to this state. However other countries had to be careful as well. Romania and USA are still out of the war. Will it change in the next months? We will see during the next game.
Nowa niemiecka ofensywa w Białorusi. Ponownie Rosjanie ponieśli duże straty. To się może skończyć wzrostem niepokojów społecznych a w końcu rewolucją. Rosja jest bardzo blisko tego stanu... Inne państwa też muszą na to uważać. Rumunia i USA wciąż są neutralne. Czy to się zmieni w ciągu następnych miesięcy? Zobaczymy podczas następnej gry.
