Our Sunday games in our club slowly became the games of 'to put on the table everything we have' kind. Which is great! We decided to have a go for all our SYW collections. So Michael brought his Prussians, Austrians and Russians and I brought my Saxons. We used Seven Years rules on a 16' by 6' table.
Nasze klubowe niedzielne gry powoli stają się grami typu "wystawmy na stół wszystko co mamy". Nie ma nic lepszego! Tym razem nasze całe kolekcje do wojny siedmioletniej. Michael przyniósł swoich Prusaków, Austriaków i Rosjan a ja moich Sasów. Do gry użyliśmy zasad Seven Years na stole o rozmiarach 16 na 6 stóp.

Left Prussian-Saxon flank. Lewa flanka prusko-saska.
I had 3 Prussian infantry brigades here and against them the whole Austrian army (played by John). Austrians very quickly took all buildings with their light troops and slowly started to move towards me. I had to wait for them. In the meantime, he tried to charge with his cavalry against my lines, but every time he was repulsed. Austrians were pushing very hard and soon half of my army was in shaken condition. Luckily for me, his units marched in front of Austrian guns and therefore they were unable to support their attack. Finally, I managed to defend my position here.
Walczyły tu 3 pruskie brygady piechoty przeciw całej armii austriackiej (granej przez Johna). Austriacy szybko zajęli budynki swoimi lekkimi oddziałami i powoli zaczęli ruszać w moim kierunku. Musiałem na nich zaczekać. W międzyczasie, próbował zaszarżować swoją kawalerią moje linie, ale wszystkie ataki zostały odparte. Austriacy napierali bardzo mocno i wkrótce połowa mojej armii była bliska załamania. Na szczęście dla mnie, jego oddziały wymaszerowały naprzeciw jego armat i te nie mogły udzielić mu potrzebnego wsparcia. Ostatecznie utrzymałem tu pozycje.

Here my Saxons supported with Prussian guns fought against Russian infantry. The same as Austrians, Russians also took the buildings very quickly but did it with their best units. Then both sides moved against each other, but the Prussian fired their guns much quicker than the Russians. That was a good decision as the Russians began to lose troops one by one. Soon I created a massive gap in Austro-Russian lines. My guns used whole ammunition, but Russians were unable to attack as the whole their centre did not exist anymore.
Tu moi Sasi, wspólnie z pruskimi działami odpierali ataki rosyjskiej piechoty. Tak jak Austriacy, Rosjanie bardzo szybko zajęli budynki, lecz umieścili w nich swoje najlepsze oddziały. Wtedy obie strony ruszyły przeciw sobie, jednak pruskie działa otworzyły ogień dużo szybciej niż działa rosyjskie. To była dobra decyzja, ponieważ Rosjanie poczęli tracić oddziały, jeden za drugim. Wkrótce utworzyłem olbrzymią wyrwę w liniach austro-rosyjskich. Moje działa zużyły całą amunicję, ale Rosjanie nie byli nic w stanie tu zrobić, ponieważ ich centrum przestało istnieć.

It started with a massive cavalry melee. Prussians won the initial fight and forced Russians to withdraw. However, they were unable to take advantage of that, as they also take some casualties and had to rally their ranks. I was unable to destroy Russian skirmishers as well, which cost me some more troubles here. Finally thanks to destroying the Russian centre, I was able to push here my Saxons, who gave support to my cavalry. Now together they started to push back the Russians, who were unable to change the fate of the battle on their side. The game was over.
Zaczęło się od zmasowanych szarż kawaleryjskich. Prusacy wygrali początkowe starcie i zmusili Rosjan do odwrotu. Jednak ze względu na poniesione straty, nie mogli wykorzystać zdobytej tu przewagi a zmuszeni zostali do uporządkowania swoich szyków. Nie byłem też w stanie zniszczyć rosyjskich harcowników, którzy zadali mi tu duże straty. W końcu, dzięki rozbiciu rosyjskiego centrum, mogłem pchnąć tu do pomocy moich Sasów. Teraz razem zmusili Rosjan do odwrotu, którzy nie byli już w stanie zmienić losów bitwy na swoją korzyść. Gra została zakończona.
Russians and Austrians suffered colossal losses. Their centre evaporated. Prussians and Saxons kept their positions and forced the enemy to withdraw, therefore winning the game.
Rosjanie i Austriacy ponieśli kolosalne straty. Ich środek wyparował. Prusacy i Sasi utrzymali swoje pozycje i zmusili wroga do odwrotu, wygrywając tym samym grę.
