Blog update #2: Pumpernickel 1762.

Another game we played in December, but I haven't been able to put a relation from it as yet. It appeared it was the last game of 2021. Our First Minister announced some restriction and the game which was going to play is too big for that and we have not prepared anything else for that. Lovely! We finished it with Seven Years rules and with an alternate history, where Catherina never become an empress and Peter the Third was still in power and supporting Prussians. So we got the Saxon-Austrian army against Russians.

Kolejna gra, którą rozegraliśmy w grudniu, ale nie miałem czasu jej zrelacjonować. Okazało się, że była to nasza ostatnia gra w 2021 roku. Nasza pierwsza minister ogłosiła nowe restrykcje i planowana przez nas gra okazała się za duża i nie przygotowaliśmy nic w zamian. Wspaniale! Zakończyliśmy go grą z zasadami Seven Years i historią alternatywną, gdzie Katarzyna nie zostaje imperatorową a Piotr III wciąż u władzy i wspiera Prusy. Mieliśmy więc sasko austriacką armię przeciw Rosjanom.

2. The game. Gra.

It started from a massive cavalry melee on our left and in the centre. I managed to push back Russians in the centre but was pushed back by Alisdair on my left. Then I managed to create a massive infantry line and put my guns in the positions. I did quicker than Russians and I was able to open my fire earlier. That gave me a victory! One disturbing news is that Alisdair managed to beat my cavalry and with our previous game I am afraid that we just have a new cavalry master in our club!

Zaczęło się od olbrzymiego starcia kawalerii na naszej lewej flance i w centrum. Udało mi się odeprzeć Rosjan w centrum ale zostałem zepchnięty przez Alisdaira po mojej lewej stronie. Wtedy udało mi się utworzyć dużą linię piechoty i ustawiłem działa na pozycjach. Zrobiłem to szybciej niż Rosjanie i dzięki temu otworzyłem ogień wcześniej. To dało mi zwycięstwo! Jedna niepokojąca wiadomość to ta, że Alisdair pobił moją kawalerię i biorąc pod uwagę poprzednią grę, obawiam się, że mamy nowego kawaleryjskiego mistrza w naszym klubie!
