Snowhill.

Becouse of the health issues my game did not have place last thursday I joined to the Michael's game. It was continuation of that game:
Ponieważ z powodu problemów zdrowotnych moja gra nie doszła do skutku w ostatni czwartek, dołączyłem do gry Michaela. Była to kontynuacja wcześniejszej jego gry:

Game was played with Michael's 28mm AWI figures with the special rules about the snow (the movement distances ware reduced). We used the Blackpowder rules. Michael's games have very special begining - its a card driven pregame. I tryed it and it is very clever system, which prepare whole game. This pregame difines your future battlefield, your commanders, wether conditions etc. The cards are double sided and their reverse you define your troops quality, the type and its number etc. This system is ideal for the games till 19th century and with some modifications for the 20th and modern, and for the futures as well. This card driven game is good when you are lack of scenarios or ideas for them. Very good idea Michael!

In our game I received the command of the American left flank. As the last game finished with the British victory (Brits occupied the hill in the battlefield centre - the key objective of the game), I gave Michael the flanking attack idea. It would spread the British troops, and give us the chance for the victory. Those game was very deadly for the generals. First I lost mine, but my troops ware able to move under initiative, and blocket whole British right wing. But the battle was won on the American right and centre. In the centre the American artillery eliminated the British artillery, and have the fire advantage over the opponent. On the right Americans have some problems and as the first lost the unit, but British dragoons get in problems and was a threat of loosing them. It bring the idea of movement sending the main British commander to rescue them - thats was big mistake! British general gets shoot and whole British left wing was unmovable! Amricans decided then to move all thier troops to their left and tactical won the game.

It was very good game. Paul played British, and Michael and myself, the Americans. For Michael's relation from the game see his blog, and for better pictures see my flickr:

  1. Again your absolutely right! My images are more pish/blurred (the Lager?) than yours. I apologise, I think I need some sort of a table tripod (but I‘m to tight to buy one) ...fantastic game!

    1. Ja też mam taką nadzieję. W pewien sposób rozwiązywała by ona problem scenariuszy do gier.
