Saxony. Saksonia: Garde zu Fuss, IR8 Graf Brühl.

Today my new figures. It is a new project which was planned ages ago. As we play a lot of SYW games I needed something closer to my feelings. The choice was one, Saxony. Sadly that project was always put for later until now. In the beginning, I was going to use Front Rank figures, their Prussian range, as the uniforms were similar. A not long time ago I discovered the Crann Tarra Miniatures and their dedicated Saxony line. I decided to give them a try and made an order. The figures were clear from flash etc., almost ready to paint straight from the box. A different thing is with the flags. After reviewing Dr Sommerfield's book on one of the Facebook groups about the SYW, Frédéric Aubert told that the flags used in the book and on Kronoscaff could be wrong. They used the Hannoverdi as the primary source for that subject, where, according to Frédéric Aubert, it should be used an older source, which is Hottenroth. He has sent me some flags and I used them for my figures. For a better presentation of them, I decided to make them a little oversized. As the first units, I decided to create two infantry regiments: Garde zu Fuss (that unit has two options for the flags and I used both of them) and IR8 Graf Brühl. Their grenadier companies were combined into one grenadier battalion: 1. Bennigsen. Every battalion received one gun, the famous Saxon Geschwindstück. I created two officers for extra orders (necessary in Seven Years rules).  The last was a general to command the whole brigade.  All those figures will have their debut in today's game.

Postanowiłem dać im szansę i złożyłem zamówienie. Figurki były bez flashy itp., prawie gotowe do malowania prosto z pudełka. Bennigsen. Każdy batalion otrzymał jedno działo, słynne saksońskie Geschwindstück. Stworzyłem dwóch oficerów na dodatkowe rozkazy (wymagane w zasadach Seven Years). Ostatni to generał, który będzie dowodził całą brygadą. Wszystkie te figurki zadebiutują w dzisiejszej grze.
