What a Tanker! - testing the eastern front tanks; testy czołgów z frontu wschodniego.

Two weeks ago I asked Jack and Derek if they would be happy to test the What a Tanker for another time. We had few games with that rules in the club and during the last Deep Fried Lard, but it always was with the western front tanks, but never with the eastern. I was quite interested how the rules would be working with the Soviet tanks. I prepared the scenario for the game with a use of some of my models and we tested it last Thursday in our club.
Przygotowałem scenariusz z użyciem kilku z moich czołgów i przetestowaliśmy je w ostatni czwartek w naszym klubie.

1. Forces. Siły.

At the beginning the forces were equal, but during the game the Soviet players get some extra reinforcements which affect the outcome of the game...  Also I don't remember all the names of the players who had the game, so big apologies to all of you who had been omitted during the relation.

2. The game. Gra.

In our game everyone had to roll for the tank and also the corner of the table it will start the game. It finished with two friendly and one enemy tank started every edge of the table. I started with the Panther tank and I moved against the weakest tank, which was the T-34/76. I managed to surprise it from the back and soon we had the first victim. To not finish the game to quickly I gave Soviet one extra tank so it could continuous.
By nie kończyć gry zbyt szybko dałem Sowietom jeden dodatkowy czołg, by gra mogła być dalej kontynuowana.

Since that moment game divided into two small games: 2 Pz IV against IS-2 and T-34/85s against Panther. In first fight the mighty Soviet tank but not without some issues managed to finally destroy two German tanks and moved to support two other Soviet tanks, who fought against my tank. Here I used the small forest and tried to outmaneuvered the enemy tanks, but when the third tank arrived I was surrounded and finally destroyed.
Tutaj użyłem małego lasku, by wymanewrować wrogie czołgi, jednak kiedy trzeci czołg przybył zostałem okrążony i ostatecznie zniszczony.

The game proved once again, that good game not always need to be overcomplicated one. I did not read the rules, as they still are under construction but I have a small issue. It should be the minimum range the tanks would be able to shoot each other, in other way we had silly situations like my tank against T-34/76 or T-34/85 against my tank. Anyway it was good game I we thinking about the early war tanks and their statistics. I think that soon we can play a Blitzkrieg version of What a Tanker!
