Practising Sharpe Practice - Indian Mutiny.

Again our club is taking its role in testing new version of the rules from Too Fat Lardies, which is new version of the Sharpe Practice rules. Most of the wargamers know what it is, for those who don't, it is Napoleonic skirmish, however it could be suitable for everything from the 1800s till middle of the 1900s. Now gentelmen from TFL working on version 3 of the rules. I have been told that now they have something like 2.3 version. Seriously I have never try them before and I have been invited for the tests. So to have any opinion about this, I had to try the version 2 rules, before I try something new. The opportunity was great as Chris Henry together with Angus Konstam bring their Indian Mutiny collections and offered us a game.
Nasz klub znów bierze udział w testach nowej wersji zasad pochodzących od Too Fat Lardies, a chodzi tu o nową wersję zasad Sharpe Practice. Więc by mieć o nich jakąkolwiek opinię, musiałem wpierw sprawdzić wersję drugą zasad.

In our game the British forces (Chris together with Campbell) had to size the town, defended by rebellious Indians (myself and our new club member, but I forgot his name...) and save some British civilians trapped in the town. This time Indians managed to stop Brits from getting into the town, mostly because of the suicidal Indian cavalry charges and accurate artillery firing.

Here are some pictures from the game. Today we will be testing the new version of the game and then I will tell you what am I thinking about it.

    1. Thank you Stu. I can only said that the rules are not ready yet. There is still a lot of issues I don't like. If I would compare both sets, I prefer the old one. However it is still v. 2.3, so very far from v.3.
