Two battles: Seelow Hights and 1863 ACW. Dwie bitwy: Wzgórza Seelow i Wojna Secesyjna 1863 rok.

It will be very briefly post. I'm quite busy with painting, therefore I do not have much time for blogging. It will change after this weekend.
Today two battles. First: Battlegroup, Fall of the Reich. I decided to show this rules to the much more our club members and organised a very big game.  I created the Seelow Hights scenario. It was battle for more or less 900 pts each side game. The opinion about game was divided, some of the gamers was positive and some of them ware negative, however this is not the end of those rules in our club, as most of the gamers were going to play this set again. In our game Soviets supported by Poles broke the German positions in the village and took the minor victory over this game.
Dzisiaj dwie bitwy. Pierwsza: Battlegroup, Fall of the Reich.
Unfortunately, the Polish T34s had a little accident before the game and we had to use the ISes instead. (however, all datas remained unchanged). Niestety, polskie T34 miały mały wypadek przed grą i musieliśmy zamiast nich użyć ISów. (wszystkie dane taktyczne pozostały jednak bez zmian).

The second game was the Longstreet. This quite new (in our club) set of rules for the American Civil War games. I was asked few questions about this set and now I had the opportunity to watch this game. Gents played further campaign game, this was the 1863 game. In the campaign system you have to play one 1861, two 1862, two 1863, two 1864 games and one 1865 game (I hope I'm right with this). Of course at the begining the Confederates are better, but with the time the advantage of Union troops became larger and larger. This is card driven game, where you activate your troops on several types of cards. Usually every card have some special actions, like double the enemy casualties  etc, but you can use them for movement, engineering works or for schooting. The game is I go You go game. In our club game was played with 10mm figures, but I personally believe, that you can play them with all sizes of the figures (you just need  to resize the ranges). I see the big potential with the mechanics of this game, which can be used for all late 19th century games. If you like this period, you need to try them for sure.
Druga gra to Longstreet. Gra jest typu I go You go. w naszym klubie do gry używane były figurki w skali 10mm, jednak uważam, ze można uzyć do niej każdej wielkości modeli (trzeba jedynie przeskalować zasięgi).
