Heer-Agimont 1940

Our first game this year was Bolt Action 28mm game. Advantage of the hospitality of Hugh Wilson and his table we played scenario of the Belgian Campaign of 1940, prepared by Campbell Hardie. Figures and vehicles came from the collections of Campbell, Hugh and Colin Jack. All terrains ware made by Hugh.
Figurki i pojazdy pochodziły z kolekcji Campbella, Hugha i Colina Jacka. Tereny to zasługa Hugha.
The battlefield. Pole bitwy.

As in our previous game Belgians (Bill Gilchrist and myself) had to again slow down advancing Germans (Donald Adamson and Hugh) and awaiting the arrival of the French forces (Colin and Campbell). The game divided on to two fighting of two crossings, except that the Germans ware able to cross one of them and the fighting moved to the village where the French, Belgian and German infantry fought fierce battles. Unfortunately, at the end of the game the situation was not resolved and is likely to continue the fighting of that village. Germans had also remembered that on their back they left very well hidden Belgian infantry units that will surely supported Allied in the fighting in the village. On the second crossing the fights took place beetween German and French and Belgian tanks. Here, as weel, the situation was not crystallized and neither the sides was able to take an advantage at this side. The upcoming French support on this side with a Char B1 tank could tip the balance on the side of the Allies. The battle ended again with stopped German offensive, and therefore victory belongs to the Belgians and the French.
Niestety do końca gry sytuacja tam nie została rozwiązana i prawdopodobnie walki trwały by nadal.

Pz 38(t) vs. Belgian At gun...
Destroyed German tanks and brave S35. Zniszczone niemieckie czołgi i dzielny S35.

In our game proved the system of the action tokens instead action dices (as suggested by the rules). We have also introduced tokens 'end of turn', which adds an element of unpredictability the game (not all units have the opportunity to perform an action). And at the end of the relation the congratulations goes to Campbell for his first scenario (I like especially the preparation of the battlefield on the basis of map materials), which was very advanced as well.
More pictures from the battle you will be able to find on my Flickr (clickhere).

    1. Thank you Phil! Yes this time the fight was much harder than the last time. Both Belgians and French did a lot to stop the German advance.
      All the best,
